my facebook about me and my goals

I moved to portland via altoona pa a little over two yeas ago. I absolutely love it in Portland and seek to become the voice of reason from and seek to promote change through conversations with the decision makers not only in the va but within society. this will ensure there is longterm change in society.

first, and foremost, i seek to remove labels so we see each other as a human being . I have friends, I don't have transgendered friends, black nor white, nor male or female. I just have friends.

My heart and soul is committed to speaking creating a bridge between the transgendered community and society. however I have found that some within the community seek to divide and isolate by saying " you are don't know what it is like as transgendered woman." I firmly believe that we have more in common than simply gender. I look at the big picture and open my heart up and understand I risk much but I have gained so many friends by opening up my heart.

I was privileged and honored to speak at a regional Veteran Health Care conference February 2012. I also spoke in october 2012 at another va hospital where over 100 staff and others were in attendance.

My goal is to put myself front and center, marine thing, so people can see people are just people with so much more in common than gender. the largest sex organ is the brain. question who get to define who or what a woman is ?

thank god for the women in my life.
